1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
16 Be joyful always, 17 pray continually; 18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Bro Fuwei said once that each of these are separated into three individual verses, showing how much importance they hold. 1. be joyful 2. pray 3. give thanks..(:
this week i've started to find the importance of being joyful despite your circumstances.. really, it makes a big difference(:
pray. God hears us. we dont need to shout or scream. just a simple silent prayer, God hears us. God hears you. dont stop praying.. press on in faith!(:
give thanks. be grateful for where you are, who you are. cos there are people out there who are less fortunate than you, but are smiling.. so why should we frown and complain. give thanks.(:

stand firm in Him(: be joyful, pray continually and give thanks in all circumstances.

love you all<3

Clarice:

hi! havent posted in, well, abt 2 months. was so busy!!! the word is overwhelmed. heex.

let me just type out wat i learned in sch and durin my TAWG last thurs.

in sch last thurs, during lit, my teacher was going on and on abt christianity (bcos we needed to use it to do some analyzing or explanation, wateva). and some of my classmates who werent christians had a hard time keeping up. den dis came to my mind: "Christianity had a large influence on Shakespearean culture. I believe that God is trying to help me in Literature."

believe me, my lit sux. so when that ran through my mind, i was (and am) really excited! macbeth is not really my thing. i'm more of a romance addict, chick lit, fantasy/supernatural book genre kind of person. not quite for e classics.

i went home and read Deuteronomy 1 during my TAWG.

1 These are the words Moses spoke to all Israel in the desert east of the Jordan - that is, in the Arabah - opposite Suph, between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth and Dizahab. (Moses spoke to all Israel - God knows exactly what I'm doing, where I'm at, and what my intentions are.)
7 "Break camp": step out of your comfort zone, and "advance": move forward and be bold, trust in God. Go forth, set out to win territory for God.
8 See, I have GIVEN you this land. Go in and take possession of the land that the Lord swore he would give to your fathers - to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - and to their descendants after them. (God has already given us the harvest, which is our friends who will come to know God, all we have to do is to speak to them about God and pray that their hearts will be open.)
17 Do not show partiality in judging; hear both small and great alike. (self-explanatory)
19 dreadful desert: we must go through hardship to gain glory for God.
21 Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.
25 It is a good land that the Lord our God is giving us.
27-28 Do not lose heart, believe and trust in God, He is faithful.
29 God sends leaders to guide, instruct, direct and love us.
32 Trust in God. (God has already brought us so far, do not let ourselves be pulled away by our own thoughts or actions. There is no need to be the greatest or to perform the best, we just have to follow what God says.)

yup, dat's it. hope it has spoken to u :D

Quote 2 remember: When satan is knocking at your door, simply say, "Jesus, could you get that for me?"

~thx 4 reading!~

THE ANT AND THE CONTACT LENS... ... ...

THE ANT AND THE CONTACT LENS... ... ...

Brenda was a young woman who was invited to go rock climbing. Although she was scared to death, she went with her group to a tremendous granite cliff. In spite of her fear, she put on the gear, took a hold on the rope, and started up the face of that rock.

Well, she got to a ledge where she could take a breather. As she was hanging on there, the safety rope snapped against Brenda's eye and knocked out her contact lens. Well, here she is on a rock ledge, with hundreds of feet below her and hundreds of feet above her. Of course, she looked and looked and looked, hoping it had landed on the ledge, but it just wasn't there .Here she was, far from home, her sight now blurry. She was desperate and began to get upset, so she prayed to the Lord to help her to find it.

When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but there was no contact lens to be found. She sat down, despondent, with the rest of the party waiting for the rest of them to make it up the face of the cliff. She looked out across range after range of mountains, thinking of that Bible verse that says, "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth." She thought, "Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help me.

Finally, they walked down the trail to the bottom. At the bottom there was a new party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, "Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?"

Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across the face of the rock, carrying it.

Brenda's father is a cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a picture of an ant lugging that contact lens with the words, "Lord, I don't know why You want me to carry this thing. I can't eat it, and it's awfully heavy. But if this is what You want me to do, I'll carry it for You."

At the risk of being accused of being fatalistic, I think it would probably do some of us good to occasionally say, "God, I don't know why you want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. But, if you want me to carry it, I will." God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

Hey Free Warriors!

I hope that the above story has impacted all of you.

Remember:

"God, I don't know why you want me to carry this load. I can see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. But, if you want me to carry it, I will."

God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

RED SEA MIRACLE
Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Johnny was a school going boy, he was very interestingly reading the Bible while waiting for transportation to his school and every now and then would exclaim, "Alleluia, Praise the Lord, Amen" and on and on as he read on. A man heard him and came and asked what he was reading. He answered" I am reading how God parted the red sea and let the Israelites go through--that is a miracle!" That man explained "Do not believe everything in the Bible tells you. The truth of the matter is that, that the body of water was only 6 inches deep-- so it was not miracle." Johnny nodded in disappointment but kept on reading as that man was walking away feeling proud that he had set the Johnny straight. All of a sudden the man heard Johnny let out a big "Alleluia, Praise the Lord". At this the man came back to him and asked, "What is it this time?" Johnny said excitedly in one breath, "This one is a real miracle; God drowned the whole Egyptian army in 6 inches of water!!!" What an amazing miracle! God parted the waters and led the Israelites through dry land. Then, to ensure that the Egyptians never troubled them again, he destroyed all of them.” My Dear friends don’t believe in the words of this world. The cunning devil will come and try to pull us down from our faith in Almighty God. Our duty is to just praise God all the time. It is easy to praise God when victory has been won. It is easy to praise Him when you finally get a job after giving up all hope. It is easy to praise Him when you have recovered from an illness that doctors told you there was no cure for. It is easy to praise Him when all the debts that threatened to land you in prison have been cleared.

FREE WARRIORS: From this short sharing, I want all of us to remember this -
We are required to praise God regardless of the situation that we are going through! Regardless of our circumstances and situations. Before victory has been achieved, because we must have the faith that He will grant us the victory.

Promise for the Day: Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1 (New Living Translation)

in His Love and lots of mine,
-Bro. Fuwei-
